Mr. H was severely injured in an automobile accident in his mid forties; he suffered 33 broken bones causing him permanent limited movement and strength in his lower extremities, leaving him unable to work. Several years after that tragedy, his son suffered a traumatic brain injury resulting in the need for around the clock care. Instead of confining him to a nursing home, Mr. H and his wife cared for their son in their home, as well as their two grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. H have tremendous trouble making ends meet and have accumulated many unpaid medical bills, so Mr. H’s need for new dentures could not be addressed. “For years, I had to put the needs of my son and grandchildren ahead of my own,” commented Mr. H.
